Geospatial Research Group

Collection and analysis of spatial data at city and regional level. Organization and implementation of spatial data into a database for smart city applications.

Examination of spatial data based on crowdsourcing describing environmental characteristics. Spatial data include physical (noise, air pollution) and social (subjective sense of security) data.

Creating an accurate georeference for archived remote sensing data by implementing modern algorithms proven in photogrammetry. Numerical modelling of geophysical problems that can be described by differential equations using the method of finite differences.

Time series analysis of georeferenced satellite imagery for land use and to detect changes in land tenure systems.

Keywords: crowdsourcing, noise pollution, subjective sense of safety, georeferencing, land use
